Mobile DJing:

From the age of 15 in 1999, DJ Small Paul has built a professional sound and lighting rig. From the small gigs he used to get while still at school to now the big residencies and mobile bookings he gets today. He has gained valuable experience through regular work all over the country, from the New Forest to Brighton and as far north as Reading & Leicester. From birthdays to weddings to shows such as Gosport Ice Show, South Coast Idol, SNAP dance nights and special events like RAF Benson’s (Reading) leaving “Las Vegas” Ball, he has the ability to adapt to the exact specifications of each event, be it making people dance or relax.

 Clients and residencies (main):

SNAP discos in Fareham since late 2005 – working with SNAP he has been given full residency and also additional responsibility as stage manager and entertainments/props manager helping provide additional acts and decor to make the event extra special. He is also responsible for “SNAP Idol” through the initiation of contact between SNAP organizers and South Coast Idol organisers. Since Paul started DJing for SNAP there has been only a couple of events that have not completely sold out to its 800 capacity crowd.

Gosport Ice Rink: As well as being their resident DJ from 2000 to 2008 for Fridays and Sundays he has helped in many other ways. He has helped the sound and lighting for the Christmas show on numerous years, he has been master of ceremonies for the Ice Hockey club in most of their events, and has also initiated the first ever “party” sessions with games and performances.

Hampshire Youth Service: A volunteer for the youth service in many forms. Paul holds DJ workshops for youth centers across Hampshire, he also has the residency for all the events held in the area by the HYS. One recent and memorable event was the Gosport Youth Festival held on Walpole Park in Gosport to over 700 under 17s. He is also a part time youth support worker in partnership with Hampshire constabulary and Hampshire's youth service.

Mood-Eaze (Formerly “Sidewalk”) nightclub: What started as a ‘stand-by’ residency has turned into Paul having full control of events on a Friday night. He planned and organised special events and acts for the nightclub. So far to much success and as a result has been recognised for his talents and hard working dedication through promotion of events. He is now the resident for their Thursday "All inclusive" nights.

SP Promotions (Small Paul Promotions): The event promotion and planning has inspired Paul to continue outside of the club in his own ventures including on of the south coasts finest Drum and Bass events “Rinsed”, underground dance event “Battle Arena” in Portsmouth, Gosport’s first ever FOAM party and not to mention Britain's first ever Drum n Bass FOAM party! SP Promotions to date has found new talent and local skilled acts many opportunities to play and get noticed, over 30 acts from Hampshire have been given the opportunity to get discovered and many have since moved on to greater things. SP Promotions now also includes an agency for over 20 local artists to cater for many different types of events. The event management experience gained has allowed Paul to offer a lot more service to his customers. Full event planning & management possibilities have arisen on many occasions and through his networking and contact he is able to offer a high quality service at a very reasonable price.

Outside of DJing:

I do lots out side of DJing. I am a part time ice skating coach and I run a printing business. My other skills include many services including:

Hobbies and Interests:

I enjoy Ice-Skating to a competitive level where I have achieved many medals, my best achievement being a Gold medal skating for England in the NISA cup at level 10 (The highest level in amateur ice skating). I am entering the British Adult National Championships this year so fingers crossed! I also recently entered the "Ice Star" show, part of ITV's Dancing On Ice. Me and my mate Andy Way did a comedy routine but unfortunately didn't get to the final 4 places available! That's on TV throughout February and March 2009 so look out for me!

Skating is also where I met my dance partner and fiancé Samantha, we're getting married this year in August!
